API terms and acceptable use

The LEI.report API provides read-only access to public identifier data as-is. It is independently operated and is not affiliated with or endorsed by GLEIF or any Local Operating Unit.

Free access

Anonymous access is limited to 100 requests per UTC day per IP. Free accounts receive 1,000 requests per UTC day across all keys. Limits may also be enforced over shorter windows to protect service reliability.

Your account

Provide accurate email, company name, and intended-use information. Keep API keys confidential and revoke exposed keys promptly. Automated account creation, quota evasion, credential sharing between unrelated organizations, disruption, scraping intended to reproduce bulk datasets, and unlawful use are prohibited.

Data and attribution

LEI reference data is published by GLEIF under CC0. Mapping datasets can carry separate notices included in API metadata. Verify important decisions against official sources.

Availability

The service has no warranty or guaranteed service level. Responses may be corrected, delayed, rate limited, or temporarily unavailable. Contact the operator before relying on the API for a high-volume or critical workflow.
